Well, it's getting close to fall here and there's usually a spike in CoCo
activity everywhere in the cooler months, so I wanted to mention some of
the features at CoCo3.com that you might enjoy this winter.

Forums (http://forums.coco3.com) or (www.coco3.com/forums)

1) Anyone should be able to post calendar events. There's a little
calendar icon at the top of the page that takes you to a real nice calendar
screen.
2) You can add a photo of yourself to your profile. Go to My Controls and
you'll see the link in the left sidebar for uploading your photo. You'll
get a folder browser where you can point to your picture file on your
computer, then hit Upload. When people click on your name, your photo will
appear as part of your profile.
3) You can post image URLs as part of your messages, and those images (if
hosted on a server that allows direct linking) will appear as part of your
messages. You can add as many URLs as you like. That is, your message
could consist of many photos stacked on one another if you insert a line
feed between the URLs. Show off your CoCo systems or projects you are
working on?
4) You can contact another forum member directly using the built-in private
messenger. Members logged into the forums should appear at the bottom of
the page.

Live chat (http://chat.coco3.com) or (www.coco3.com/cgi-bin/chat.cgi)

The multi-room chat script is holding up well and should work nice for most
modern web browsers. Lots of testing has been done to help support the
typical web browser. You should be able to schedule your own meetings soon
after that part of the script is complete. Your meetings will appear on
the front chat page so everybody can see the date/time/topics/room. To
schedule a meeting, you just fill out the small form and then click on the
link supplied in the confirmation e-mail you receive. You can also cancel
meetings before they start.
