Robert,

Thank you for your reply.  I agree that ripping up a CoCo isn't the best
use of a classic.  I have in my possesion a small circuit board containg
a 6809 and two 6821 PIAs plus a  '138 decoder chip which I would use in the
EV after I get the bugs worked out using the CoCo as a test bed.  The board
is about two inches by 4 inches, and only needs a composite video out; it
also has a socket for the RS style PROM chip.  I have a programmer, and have
done some assembly, (It would be nice to have a Basic compiler); PIC is OK,
but I'm not at all familiar with
Stamps.

Anyway I am grateful for your concern, and for your helpful suggestions.  I
set up a school network using CoCos for my brothers adopted children, so
they could study math and spelling at home; it used six CoCos and I could
address each one via a switch, but kids are kids, and the repairs got to be
tiresome.
