Fortunately, CoCo and Amiga users aren't the only ones wanting to 
convert a signal intended for a TV or an older monitor. Evidently a lot 
of gamers want to do the same thing with their game boxes. A search for 
"scan doubler" turns up a number of boxes...unfortunately, some of them 
run around $250.

There's also an outfit called AverLogic that makes a scan doubler chip 
(http://www.averlogic.com/video_converter/AL250.html). They're REALLY 
close-mouthed about how much they sell the chip for, though.
