John, try the following. Create a /T40 /D floppy from the NitrOS9 image
with DSKINI.EXE and then use RETRIEVE to create two new 40 track images
of the front and back sides of the floppy.
Mount these single sided images as drive 0 and drive 2 in the emulator
and see what happens.
