No, I have a copy of the notes which came with the earliest versions
of the OS.

The K&R book is OCIAK (only clear if already known) like most Unix
documentation. Mix gives you a really great book of their own with
loads of examples to try out. Actually, it's three books bound as
one. But the real secret is the debugger which lets you see what is
going on right down in memory. I had a lot of Ah-Hah! moments with
that. When you have calls passing pointers to procedures you really
can get confused.
