The most likely cause of this problem is a power supply problem in the 
Multi-Pak. Cartridges plugged into a Multi-Pak get power from two 
sources, 1) feed through from the Coco, 2) from the Multi-Pak.

What normally goes wrong is oxidation of the nuts that hold down the 
main power transistor in the Multi-Pak. If you use a socket wrench to 
loosen and then re-tighten the two nuts, you may find all paks now work 
correctly in the MPI.
