     I think the term you are looking for is broadband noise which
can easily be introduced with the proper filtering.

     At the risk of sounding like a smart a** ,a one farad capacitor would
probably be about the size of a washing machine  :)

    I am going to take a chance and purchase  the XRGB-2 Plus
upscan converter.  I will report on my results when I try it
with the coco3.
