Hey, David. Ok, let me try to answer your questions in order:
The URL is www.CoCo3.com. I try to provide a central location for CoCo
users to stay in touch and check out each other's online material.
I've always worked hard on the web site since day 1, but I think it's been
static for too long. I think that using commercial tools for live chat is
okay but it's kinda hard for everybody to find these tools or even agree on
the best one. I plan to customize our system based on feedback. That is,
I'm building it for you and everyone else.
I think it's safe to say that we own many types of computers other than
just the CoCo, and that it's probably not a CoCo we're using to surf the
web. However, I did start surfing the web and using e-mail from Disk BASIC
using the Ultimaterm comm program back in the late 80's. I was loaned a
college account from a younger friend, and I used PINE and WWW to reach out
and touch the world from my little CoCo. I did this for years. Everything
was all text, ofcourse. Then, they dropped shell accounts at my local ISP.
The CoCo3.com chat system uses basic HTML to show the messages which are
text-only for now. I might add smilies later. :)
