You can set up as large of a virtual disk as you want.  You can mount 
floppy disk images or modify the descriptor and make 100MB images.  
It's all up to you.

DriveWire is a little slower than a floppy disk, but it's still quite 
bearable.  I use it exclusively when developing NitrOS-9.
