Here is a trick:
RENAME "DOS/BAS" TO "OLDDOS/BAS"
LOAD "OLDDOS/BAS"
1 REMEDTASM
3 WIDTH 80
SAVE "DOS/BAS"
This modify DOS/BAS to auto execute EDTASM with a 80 collumn screen.
(Note: there is no space between REM and EDTASM on line 1)
