After RTFM, I find that you're right. Huh.
"iniz w1" still crashes the OS when it's running startup, though.
Robert Gault already knew about this and is working on it.
Apparently, if /term is a vdgint screen, trying to iniz window
descriptors in startup crashes something.
Fortunately I can play with the boot disk from regular OS-9.
