I believe that it is a bug. I am aware of this "feature" but haven't
given it much thought. I'd think that it's simply a fact that the DOS
routine neglects to load the appropriate mask value in the register that
controls the drive to be accessed.
There may be some way to utilize this, but, as Gene stated, you can load
the bootstrap from some different drive, but, unless BOOT, I believe it
is, has been modified to load OS9Boot from that drive, it will attempt
to access drive 0 for this.
