I forsee problems using TECO with an OS that wants to catch escape and
use it as EOF....  (Hell, the vi clone stevie under OS-9 has this
problem.  There's esc, shift-esc, and ctrl-esc.  One of them is EOF,
one is the escape stevie wants, and I can't ever keep them straight.)
