Why, once you are on LINUX, M.E.S.S. runs on it.

After I find out what is wrong with the OpenVMS port of GNU MAKE, I 
should be able to build it on OpenVMS.  I just got the pre-release 
version of GNV, which is about 3 releases newer than the one I last tried.
