Every day, workers are harassed, intimidated and even fired for 
exercising a basic human right-uniting with co-workers to form a 
union for a better life.

During the week leading up to Dec. 10, International Human Rights 
Day, workers across America and around the world are rallying and 
speaking out to restore the freedom to form unions and bargain 
collectively. Dec. 10 is the anniversary of the ratification of the 
U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which recognized the 
right to join a union and bargain as a basic human right.
