Hey y’all chillin’ at the home of Tom and Carolyn Hoy getting ready to do a
house concert here. I thought I’d take a minute and get you caught up on
the tour so far.

My summer's been pretty crazy so far but also a lot of fun. I've been to
the Dutchland Dulcimer Festival in Lancaster, Ohio; the Evart Fun Fest; and
on my way to open for Tom Chapin in NJ. In between I've been to a Barn
Concert in New Jersey, A Songwriter Showcase in Bloomington, Indiana. I
drove two hitchhikers from Poland to Cedar Point: we stopped at my mom's
for lunch while I spent 5 hours in the hospital being tested for a heart
attack (I'm fine BTW). I've played three Doug Berch dulcimers and then
stayed at Doug's House. I've also had lunch with Deena Snapp, played and
hung out with Wendy Songe, Dave Haas, Stephen Seifert, Susan Trump, Timothy
Seaman, Randy Clepper, Bob McMurray, Mark Wade, Rick Thum and too many more
to mention. Bing Futch, Seifert, and about 30 people from the squirrel's
nest played "Another Brick in the Wall" Parts 1, 2, and 3 to close the
Friday show at Evart. We all got to take solos, but the Hurdy-Gurdy solo
was the coolest.

All that to say this: I can put this stuff up on Facebook and whatever, but
you REALLY ought to come to the shows.

I gotta get ready for tonight.

C-ya out there.
