I've recieved the information about the delegate credentialing process and will be completeing that process soon. In summary, the number of delegates is determined as follows: Each state or member society is entitled to a minimum of three (3) delegates: 1. President or proxy 2. President-Elect or proxy 3. Student delegate - Only a student may fill the student delegate position. If a student is not available, that delegate position cannot be filled by proxy. Additional delegate positions are determined by the total number of Professional I & II, FYP and Emeritus I & II members in the State Society as of May 31, 2006. Each state is allotted one (1) delegate for every fifty (50) members or the majority thereof. Student and Collaborative members do not count towards your membership total for determination of allotted delegates. Checking the membership roster as of today, VSCLS has: 146 total members 4 - Collaborative 1- Honorary 26 - Student That gives us an eligible membership of 115, so we have two additional delegate seats. Thus, the VSCLS delegation will consist of: Randy Vandevander - President Proxy Karen Gordon - President-Elect Ashley LeFrois - Delegate Becky Perdue - Delegate Bernie Bekken - Alternate Delegate If anyone else that is going to be attending the meeting and would be willing to be listed as an alternate, please let me know. We are beginning to wind down the 2008-2009 year, and so I'm attaching a final revision of the *current* 2008-2009 VSCLS BOD Leadership list. I've made several corrections that have been given to me during the last couple of meetings. As we look forward to the 2009-2010 year, please consider to continue serving on the Board. First, my apologies for letting the maintenance of the list go for so long. I've removed several old email addresses and entered all of the emails listed on the final version of the VSCLS Leadership Directory that I sent out recently. If you had two emails listed, then I entered them both on the ListServ. I turned off the monthly account password reminders that the ListServ sends on the 1st day of every month. If you want to make any changes to your ListServ account, please visit the VSCLS web site, http://www.vscls.org/, and scroll down to the bottom of the Leadership Directory page. There is a link to the BOD ListServ web interface. There you can add a new email or change your account settings. You can also unsubscribe from the ListServ through the web interface. There is also a VSCLS-Members ListServ. Everyone on the BOD has probably been subscribed to that mailing list when I did the last update in February. I'll try and keep that mailing list updated from the information we get from the ASCLS Membership Roster. Thanks to everyone for being a member of VSCLS and participation on the BOD.
