We need to have 5 (President or appointed designee + 4 Board Members). Please respond by Thursday noon if possible. If we're short of quorum I will cancel the meeting, as to not have any unnecessary travel (especially at these gas prices!). The other topic of discussion is the number of delegate VSCLS needed at the national meeting. According to the ASCLS bylaws: Each duly charted constituent society shall be entitled to at least three** (3) delegates [two (2) delegates-at-large, one (1) student delegate] plus one (1) delegate per each 50 professional and emeritus members or major fraction thereof to the House of Delegates, to be designated in accordance with established procedures. The three has been traditionally been the President, President-Elect and one Student. Looking at our membership roster from March (145 members), we would need 2 more, maybe three if we had a recent surge in membership. The official membership count will be as of May 31st. Thanks to the response to my email last week, we have enough to meet 3 and have an alternate. I'll follow up with more after it's can be decided if we have a meeting this Saturday.
