[arg_discuss] Call for Nominations - IGDA Alternate Reality Games SIG Elections

Hmm.

I happen to know there are some pretty awesome people in the ARG space
who are subscribed to this mailing list.

I also know they may have concerns about running for chair. These
concerns probably range from... "I don't have time" to "I don't know
what it entails." And everything in between.

I say... (as they do in wikipedia).... be bold. Here's a chance for
democracy to work, and a leadership position to be seen as an
opportunity for greatness, rather than a burden to be passed from one
overworked volunteer to another.

I'd run for it myself, but I'm already chair of another IGDA SIG
(Writing).

If you have questions about what it's like to be chair, I'm sure
Andrea would be happy to answer your questions. I could answer general
questions about it, though every SIG has their own unique leadership
challenges.

We're a community famous for its grassroots efforts. I think it would
be awesome if one of those grassroots efforts rose up to lead the IGDA
ARG SIG.

Just sayin'.
