[arg_discuss] War of the Worlds 2 on Twitter

Some of you may have seen a twitter-storm over the past two days about
a Martian invasion. It was part a distributed real-time re-telling of
War of the Worlds, which took place mostly on Twitter but also
incorporated blogs, photos and video. You can find the main stream of
events here:

In finished up last night at midnight, Los Angeles time. I'm still
gathering my thoughts about it, but I have to say it was the most fun
I've had as part of an online media experience since The Beast.

It was organized by a fellow named Kris Kowal: <http://askawizard.blogspot.com/2008/10/war-of-worlds-20.html

And here's a nice overview written just after it ended, by a friend of
mine: <http://heavylittleobjects.com/?p=991>

And (if I may plug myself), this week's Christian Science Monitor
quotes me in a piece about using Twitter as a storytelling engine --
on the same week they announce that they will no longer be publishing
the print edition.
