Christy - Jack Wagner's character Frisco Jones was shown to have  
released the song "All I Need" in the context of General Hospital's  
plot line in the mid-80s.  The song also reached the top 40 in the  
"real" world.  I remember it well and was pretty blown away by the  
crossover.  I can't immediately find any online chronology, but it  
seems like it showed up on the soap before I heard it on the radio.   
I'm sure the record labels had it all planned out. :)
