He also has the audiobook available under the same license, so you can use the professionally recorded audiobook (that you have to buy) in remixes and such, as long as it's properly attributed.

In an odd crossing of the streams, I stumbled onto my first piece of open source narrative yesterday.

If you download the text, there's an introduction that includes the author's take on releasing his work under a creative commons license. He's not just giving you his universe to play in. He's giving you his text, to remix, reuse and share. By the way, the work is also available in hardback from a traditional publisher (Tor).
