One reason I'm a fan of April Fools Day is that it allows everyone, no
matter how mundane, to enjoy a little alternate reality.

It's one of the examples I use to explain ARGs to people who are
unfamiliar with the concept. It helps them get past the "hoax" stigma.

Someone I have worked with on ARGs in the past is currently using April
Fools Day to do a little alternate reality switch for an old media company
trying to reinvent itself.

Rumor has it they're even doing a press conference at noon.

Just thought I'd share and give props to a colleague who's using alternate
reality - even though it's for a limited time. Good job, Dean!
