I think there are some things ARGs can do (have done) better than other media.

One of those is pushing the immersion about as far as it can go...really making
it seem like the game is real. If you want to make a really immersive
experience, your best shot is probably making it an ARG. However, an ARG doesn't
HAVE to go for that level of immersion...They just have the potential.

(Here's another idea: In what medium can you anonymously author an
experience and get people to take it seriously? ;) )
