[arg_discuss] ARG SIG in 2007

I would prefer an IRC chat, myself. Telechat has several problems
with a large group, in that it is hard for people to speak without
either stepping on or being stepped on by another speaker. It can
also be confusing identifying who is speaking. And there is no easy
way to save a log/transcript of the conversation. IRC gives the
benefit of a real time conversation, with an immediate written log of
what's been said and an easy way to identify who said it. Plus, it
would be very easy to post a log for those who couldn't attend. Also,
people can enter/leave the chat without too much disruption to the
conversation, and can even get up and leave, continue to log, and come
back and catch up.

Can you tell I'm a fan of IRC? :) I know there are many of us who are
channel operators on chat-solutions.org, where most ARG-related chat
happens these days anyways, so if you want any help setting up a
channel or the like, please let me know. I'd be happy to help.
