Members of Acimwkbk_list will receive, each day, comments on the daily lesson from the Workbook of A Course in Miracles. The commentary is written by Allen Watson of The Circle of Atonement. These commentaries have been distributed by email since 1995, for free. All are welcome! All members will receive the daily commentary, and occasional announcements from Allen Watson; in addition, members can post their own comments or questions to the list for discussion. The sister list, acimlessons_list, exists for those who wish to receive only the commentaries, without member discussion. BASIC PROTOCOL FOR POSTING TO THIS LIST: The address acimwkbk_list@circleofa.com may be used by anyone who wishes to share a question, comment, or experience concerning the workbook lessons with all the other members on the list. Members of acimwkbk are encouraged to do so. Users on ACIMWKBK should be personally alert to occasions when your discussion begins to diverge from discussing the Workbook into general ACIM theology or other side issues. You are respectfully asked to take such discussions off line to be continued just among those who are specifically interested. The suggested procedure is for the person primarily responsible for sparking the discussion to post a message to the group suggesting the discussion go off line, and asking anyone interested in the discussion to send you a personal message saying so. Other mailing lists also exist that welcome more general discussion of ACIM, the copyright situation, other spiritual paths, and so on. The reasons for the above are simple: the acimwkbk_list was started as an alternative to a general discussion list, known at the time simply as ACIM. The members of acimwkbk_list wanted a less volatile, less argumentative and less verbose list. Restricting the discussion to the lessons, their meaning, practice, and application, seemed the best way to accomplish this. Therefore, as list administrator, I would ask everyone: Please refrain from posting messages that do not deal with the daily lessons and their application to your life. Foul language, sexual innuendo, and personal attacks or slurs directed at other list members will not be tolerated, and anyone posting such messages will be warned once and banned from the list if it reoccurs.
